FCC Expanders
Dresser-Rand has over 30 years experience in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) expanders. Over that time the company has shipped over 70 units of various frame sizes to nearly every part of the world to customers that include nearly every major oil company. This figure represents over 60% of all FCC units installed worldwide, more than double any other manufacturer worldwide. We have achieved such milestones as shipping the world's first two-stage unit in 1981 and achieving five million operating hours in 1994. Dresser-Rand has a fleet operating availability of over 99% between planned shutdowns. Key features of the FCC product line include:
- Four frame sizes
- One or two stages
- Overhung stiff-shaft design
- State-of-the-art coatings for increased blade life and corrosion resistance
- 1400°F design inlet temperature
- Viewports for on-line viewing of blading
- "Kingsbury"-type thrust bearings
- Casings and flanges designed to minimize thermal stresses
- Rear Pull Rotor Design for Convenient Rotor Access without Disconnection of Inlet Piping
- New Stator Options Available for Extra Strength or Operational Flexibility
Multi-stage High Temperature Expanders
